Whitworth Men’s Shed is thrilled to have been nominated in the Whitworth Awards 2023.
The Whitworth Business and Community Awards will see the Mayor Councillor Mike Royds, recognise Businesses and Community Organisations who have shown that they care for the people of Whitworth and the community in general.
The presentation ceremony will take place on Saturday 28th October 2023 at The Ashcroft (Civic Hall).
Tickets for the Whitworth Awards 2023 cost £12.00 per person (£8 for under 10s) and can be purchased from the Whitworth Town Council Offices located at The Ashcroft, Market Street, Whitworth OL12 8DP. Alternatively, you can purchase them online at their website.
Doors open at 6:30 p.m. for a 7 p.m. start. Guests will be entertained by MC Chris Britten and a fantastic local vocalist Victoria Sladen, we hope to see everyone there.
Please come and support the Shed and all of the other nominated Businesses and Community Organisations. Proceeds from the Whitworth Awards 2023 event will be split equally between the Mayor’s Charity fund and the Save Whitworth Pool campaign.
Whitworth Men’s Shed is a community group for men. It is a social space where men can come and get involved in practical activities or just have a chat over a brew! The need for a Men’s Sheds project in Whitworth was identified after a series of consultation events held in 2017 by Rossendale Borough Council’s Living Well Living Better project, which aimed to find ways of tackling loneliness and social isolation in the Whitworth area.
