Things to do at the Shed #1
Have a brew! First things first, the number one thing to do at the Shed is have a brew! Whether it’s tea or coffee (or something fruity or just hot water!) most activities at the Shed start, end and are regularly punctuated with a cuppa. Wait to be asked or dive in and help yourself – it’s free and so are the biscuits! Just don’t forget to pop a small donation towards the costs in the donation tin every now and again 🙂

This awesome bit of kit should be able to bend up to 2″ pipe 180°. Unfortunately at the moment it only has enough oomph to get to 45° and needs a bit of tlc to restore it to it’s former glory. Many thanks to Phil for this generous donation.

We intend to give this Black & Decker 10″ Ball Bearing Bench Grinder a good clean up, fix the faulty electrics, add some guards and maybe even give it a new lick of paint. Thanks Phil!

The component parts of the first machine fall into three main groups; the frame and structure, the motor and electrics and the cutting assembly. The group are confident of sourcing the rest of the structural…

The ‘Planning Committee’ is our weekly social drop-in and catch-up session. Far from being a formal meeting it is actually a talking shop where WMS members find out about what has been going on, and what is being planned for the future. Other subjects that might be up for discussion might include what the various activity groups have been up to, or if there is a topical health awareness campaign to draw attention to. All of this takes place against a back-drop of brew-drinking, biscuit dunking and your pick of…
